PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY AND GENERAL POSITION OF WOMEN
(VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN):
We have to acknowledge that men govern our society, which is essentially patriarchal. We may now take pride in the fact that men and women are equal under the constitution, but the harsh truth is that much work needs to be done before women can be considered safe and respected in our society.
The dowry system is among our society's most barbaric customs. Husbands and in-laws frequently abuse or coerce young brides into killing themselves so that the grooms can remarry and receive a bigger dowry.
In our daily lives, women are also frequently the victims of physical violence. Since spouses are weak, defenseless beings, many illiterate and uncultured brutes abuse them. The lynx-eyed brutes continue to irritate and physically attack the weaker sex at fairs, festivals, and in buses. Occasionally, young girls are deceived and coerced into leading a life of immorality. This is the tale of numerous ladies who live in red-light districts in different cities. Rape and moles-station are two more tragedies that affect women. Sexual harassment also happens in workplaces, particularly during night hours.
Sex craving is an additional crucial factor. Sometimes young girls are deceived and forced into a life of depravity through blackmail. This is the narrative of numerous women in various cities' red light districts. Another tragedy that affects women is moles-station and rape. Additionally, sexual harassment occurs in workplaces, particularly during night hours.
