A house on fire:
I just so happened to see a house burning down last month. The scene was quite terrible. I will always remember that. I had just returned from school. I heard some folks yelling "Fire! Fire!" just a few yards from my house. I hurried over to where the noise was coming from. A house had a fire in its upper story. There were several people gathering there. To extinguish the flames, they were hurling water. A few were displaying their goods. The prisoners were sobbing and pleading for assistance. I started dousing the fire with water as well. The fire squad arrived there in the interim. The firefighters started using their hoses to hurl burning water. After an hour, it was extinguished. There were no fatalities. The wooden doors, windows, carpets, curtains, and furnishings were all reduced to ashes by fire. We moved those individuals to tents that the government had set up. I was quite depressed when I got home.
